Wordle Instructions


How to copy a wordle picture and put in on your own blog:
  1. Go to www.wordle.net.
  2. Click on Create.
  3. Paste or type in some text.
  4. Click "Go".
  5. Modify the layout and colors until you like the appearance of the word cloud.
  6. Click the button "Open in Window".

Windows Users
  1. Make sure you whole graphic is visible on the screen. Press the PrtScn key. Windows captures only the currently active window and copies it to the clipboard.
  2. Open the Paint application (go to Start-Programs-Accessories-Paint)
  3. Paste the screen shot, Edit-Paste.
  4. You can use the select tool to select just the Wordle image.
  5. Click the "Crop" button to eliminate the other parts of the image that are not selected.
  6. Save the Wordle image. Choose a location to save the file.
Mac Users
  1. Take a partial screenshot: hold both the "Command" and "Shift" keys at the same time and press the number 4. 
  2. Use your mouse to draw a rectangle in order to specify what to capture – or press the spacebar and then click on something (e.g. a window) to capture it. 
  3. Mac OS X then saves it as a file named like “Picture 1.png” on your desktop.
Now you can insert your image file into a document, presentation, or your blog!
